Mary’s Song is a song of worship. A prayer of complete confidence in God’s power to accomplish His plans!
For Mary, God is a Savior! She praises His holiness, His perfection!
Mary’s God can go from one impossibility to the next! Yet, she praises God for His favor upon the humble.
This is Mary’s Song. Let’s listen to the lyrics!
My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior, for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant.
From now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me - holy is his name.
His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation.
He has performed mighty deeds with his arm; he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.
He has brought down rulers from their thrones but has lifted up the humble.
He has filled the hungry with good things but has sent the rich away empty.
He has helped his servant Israel, remembering to be merciful to Abraham and his descendants forever, even as he said to our fathers.
I often wonder if we give Mary proper respect. How blessed she was - to be favored of the Lord. Chosen to raise the Son of God.

Her humbleness and attitude of servanthood, and trust in God is an incredible example to us all.
Yet she praises and worships God.
The shepherds come and tell of the angels statements concerning the child.
In the temple, Simeon takes the child in his arms and praises God.
Scriptures never say to worship or pray to Mary.
Yet maybe in our defense against some who do, we miss the special place Mary is given - servant of the Most High God in a way no other would ever be - the earthly mother of God's One and Only Son.
She truly was a blessed woman of God!
